Market Systems Development
Through our Market Systems approach, we address the root causes of why markets often fail to meet the needs of poor people. We focus on interventions that modify the incentives and behavior of businesses and other market players – public, private, formal, and informal – to ensure lasting and large-scale beneficial change for poor people.
Gender/GBV
We assist our clients with gender mainstreaming, a process of assessing the implications for women and men of any planned action, including legislation, policies, or programs, in all areas and at all levels. Our focus is on making women's as well as men's concerns and experiences an integral dimension of the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies and programs.
Disability
We appreciate that disability is part of being human and is integral to the human experience. It results from the interaction between health conditions such as dementia, blindness, or spinal cord injury, and a range of environmental and personal factors. We help our clients to appreciate this phenomenon in their policy and program design and implementation.
Climate Change
While climate change generally refers to global warming—the ongoing increase in global average temperature—and its effects on Earth, our focus is on how program design and implementation are conscious of these realities and adopt climate-friendly approaches and goods and services
