Who We Are
Nyararai Consulting Services (NCS) is a consulting firm committed to advancing sustainable development through a nexus approach that integrates humanitarian aid, development cooperation and peacebuilding. We collaborate with a range of organisations including governments, UN agencies, NGOs, the private sector, and research institutions to provide high-quality, data-driven insights that enhance project effectiveness and lead to lasting impact. Our work in Mozambique and the southern Africa region includes studies, evaluations and reviews that help empower communities and stakeholders by providing inclusive, locally led solutions that lead to measurable progress and resilience in challenging environments.
We are grounded in Mozambique and work in English and Portuguese. Our assignments span urban and rural contexts, conflict-affected areas, and fragile settings, with particular experience in Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Sofala, and Manica provinces.

What We Do
We support our clients with evaluation, research, and consulting services for INGOs, bilateral and multilateral donors, governments, and the private sector. We specialize in baseline studies, midline and end-line evaluations, conflict analysis, climate change, gender, disability, and M&E.
Our Approach
We do not produce generic reports. Every NCS assignment is anchored in the client's objectives, the specific Terms of Reference, the geographic and sectoral context, and the communities at the centre of the work. We combine methodological soundness with practical field execution, and we deliver findings that programme teams can act on.
Geographic Reach
NCS operates across Mozambique with field experience in Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Sofala, Manica, Tete, Niassa, and Maputo. We work in Portuguese and local languages and have established field networks for data collection in remote and hard-to-reach areas. Our consultancy orientation extends across Southern Africa.
